The annexe, which is located within the owner’s grounds, is spacious and welcoming. The open-plan living area is fresh and bright with stylish blue and grey tones creating a peaceful atmosphere; snuggle up on the sofa in front of the TV in the evening before taking a shower in the trendy bathroom where dark fixtures and fittings add a touch of class. Sit out in the garden on sunny mornings, enjoying your morning coffee, before heading off on the Sea Air Trail that starts at Lymington Marina (1.5 miles) and takes you to Milford on Sea (3.5 miles).

Take strolls along Highcliffe Beach (8 miles) and up to Highcliffe Castle (8.5 miles) where you can see across to the Isle of Wight. Sniff around 200 acres of woodland at Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway (11.5 miles) where your pup is welcome on the train ride and can even try some canine ice cream at the restaurant. Situated on an old coaching site, Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary (14 miles) has three walking trails; one leads you to a viewing platform where you’re likely to see the wild herd of fallow deer.

Hosts Pauline and Terry were superb, the cottage leaves you wanting nothing. We were made to feel very relaxed while sharing someone else's space, this is all credit to our hosts. The cottage itself was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely return here should we visit the Forest again.

Beautifully appointed, dog friendly accommodation, with extremely welcoming hosts. Practical kitchen, very well equipped and easy to work in. Perfect, off road, car parking provided, pretty courtyard garden, totally secure to let your pet run free and great access to heath opposite to walk the dog. Includes a modern bathroom with shower, just a litRead moretle too compact from our perspective. WiFi a little slow at times but worked OK. We could not access Netflix on the TV and relied upon using my laptop Hide

We had a lovely stat at Little Moorings. It is well situated about a 15 minute walk into Lymington. If you come with a dog there is the common just over the road for a walk. The cottage is well equipped and very clean. There is a Tesco express down the road and excellent takeaways to hand. Will definitely stay again
