This luxurious lodge, set within the rugged landscape of the Welsh countryside, sleeps four guests and one canine companion. The area is a haven for dog walkers, who can enjoy wild and windy rambles along the river and through the valley. Leave the car behind and set out for an adventure directly from your front door. Alternatively, journey 16.5 miles to the bustling market town of Brecon, for a fabulous selection of paw-friendly shops and eateries.
Located down a peaceful and private lane, the beautiful lodge benefits from an elevated position offering spectacular views. The stylish property has an open-plan layout, creating a sociable space that’s perfect for entertaining. It also means there’s ample room for the pup to set up camp. Relax on the plush sofas in the lounge area after a long walk and watch TV or curl up with a book and admire the beautiful views. Outside, there’s a covered terrace, so the hound can enjoy some fresh air, even on a wet day, and you can sit with a glass of wine and soak up the tranquillity or take a dip in the private hot tub.
Brecon has much to offer four-legged explorers. The town is very much used to walkers and their canine companions, so you’ll find lots of pubs, cafes and shops are very accommodating. After a bite to eat, enjoy a relaxing stroll along the canal towpath or pop your heads into the exquisite Brecon Cathedral (make sure Rover is on a lead) and admire the rare and rather beautiful Celtic font. If you enjoy immersing yourself in history, head to Tretower Court and Castle. The hound can join you in the grounds and ground floor of this impressive 900-year-old structure, which was once a haunt of many medieval Welsh poets.
