Escape to Corfe Castle and take your best furry friend with you. This holiday retreat in the picturesque Dorset village sleeps six guests across three bedrooms and is in an outstanding position for exploring the Isle of Purbeck on foot and by paw. The stone cottage, which has a courtyard garden, is just 0.5 miles from the castle ruins, which you can explore with your faithful friend.
Call your happy hound up three steps to enter the cottage, which also has different levels downstairs. Find yourselves in an open-plan kitchen/diner where you can dish up doggy dinners and prepare human feasts. There is also a useful washing machine and tumble dryer in here for rinsing damp dog towels after wet walks. Dine at the table in here with your friends and family then head through to the lounge to watch the Smart TV, with your contented canine joining the rest of the party. Also downstairs are a family bathroom and two double bedrooms. Settle your happy hound in the kitchen/diner then head off to bed downstairs or climb the steep ladder-style stairs up to the first floor, where there is a twin bedroom and a separate WC. This bedroom does have some restricted head-height due to its first-floor position. Open the French doors on to the patio on summer days and enjoy your meals in the fresh air while your delighted dog keeps you company and explores the multi-level courtyard garden.
Make a picnic, pack some dog treats and water and head off for the day to magnificent Studland Bay, 5.5 miles away. Here your four-legged friend can leave paw prints in the sand and splash in the shallows all year round. Head 4.5 miles from the cottage down to Kimmeridge Bay to pick up the South West Coast Path.
