The spectacular former chapel sleeps eight guests and three canine companions, making it ideal for a large family gathering or getaway with friends. Snowdonia has some fantastic woof-friendly beaches, including the golden sands of Barmouth, just 6 miles away. Alternatively, explore the local history with a potter around paw-friendly Harlech Castle, 5 miles from the property.
This ultra-chic converted chapel has a reverse-level layout, really making the most of the glorious coastal views. The property boasts high ceilings with beautiful exposed beams, gorgeous feature windows and luxurious underfloor heating. Whites and greys are offset with flashes of yellow to create a really modern decor. The stylish lounge/kitchen/diner is a vast open space, so there’s no danger of the doggies getting under your feet! The area is flooded with natural light and is the perfect space for entertaining. The enclosed garden is a few metres from the chapel and has a lovely lawn for the pups to play on, as well as outdoor furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining.
The dramatic grounds of the 13th-century castle at Harlech are well worth a wander. The hounds are welcome on leads, as well as on the terrace of the cafe, and the views over the Snowdonia coast are fabulous. Afterwards, take the short 0.5-mile stroll down to the beach, where four-legged visitors are welcome all year. Coed y Brenin (19.5 miles) makes a great family day out, especially on a hot day. Under the shady canopy of the forest, discover nine waymarked walking trails, as well as numerous mountain biking tracks and an awesome adventure playground. Furry friends are invited to refuel in the outdoor area of the cafe, where water bowls are also provided.
