Set within scampering distance of Looe harbour and the town’s long sandy beach, this cosy 17th-century Cornish cottage is a wonderful base for a relaxing holiday in the fresh sea air. It’s made for families with children and up to two canine companions, who can enjoy simple pleasures together, whether splashing in the sea, sniffing out rock pools or scoffing fish and chips. On a sunny day, you wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

Inside, the property is beautifully furnished, with a plush sofa, soft rugs and fluffy cushions making it feel warm and homely. Unwind in the snug lounge beside the flame effect gas fire while the four-legged members of your family nap in their dog beds. When your day is done, head up the steep cottage-style staircase for a restful night’s sleep. There’s a super-king-size bedroom and a bunk bedroom with a large window seat that will appeal to children. Remember to pack your dogs’ comfort blankets so they can get cosy too.

Uncover the splendour of South Cornwall’s golden coast with long walks along the clifftops and playtimes on the beach. Hannafore Beach is only around 500 metres from the property and offers a quiet spot for dogs to burn off some energy all year round. Experience the wonders of a glass-bottom boat trip to Looe Island, and explore the fishing village of Polperro (4 miles), with its picture-postcard harbour and colourful narrow streets. Thrill-seekers in the family won’t want to miss the Adrenalin Quarry (7 miles), home to zip wires, go-karting and axe throwing. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on-site too.

My husband and I stayed at Wenmouth Cottage for 4 nights whilst walking the coast path. Its was ideal for the two of us but would be very cosy for 4 people. The cottage was tucked away and quiet and nice and clean. The main bed was very comfortable. Although small it had everything we needed (apart from a bottle opener!) for a short stay. We usuRead moreally like some outside space or an outlook but as we were out all day this didnt worry us. Off loading was a bit of a problem as there isnt anywhere to pull over so had to stop the traffic which we found a little stressful. We paid for a week permit at the Millpool car park which worked out very reasonable. Only 5 mins into the town centre Hide

The cottage was cozy and very lovely to stay in! Close to town centre so perfect as a base for popping back after time on beach etc. We had plans to visit nearby towns but didnt bother in the end and enjoyed Looe and our cottage!

We had a wonderful stay in the cottage which was extremely clean on arrival. To find scones, jam, cream and Easter eggs was lovely. If you are looking for a small cottage as your based in Looe, book this place! Great value for money and you will find everything you need including towels!

We had a lovely stay at the cottage, it's not too far up the hill and the location was fab. The owners left some very thoughtful touches, such as milk, cream tea and Easter eggs, which were all very much appreciated!

Wow what an amazing experience from start to finish, when contacting the cottage owner, she was more than helpful, I was bringing my mum for her birthday and asked the owner if she could write a card saying happy birthday to make it extra special, upon arrival there were balloons, wine and chocolates, this made it very special, so kind. the rooms wRead moreere beautiful, clean, the kitchen well equipped and the location is perfect, see you February! :) Hide

We really enjoyed our holiday in Looe, great little cottage in a super location, just a short stroll to the shops/restaurants etc. Great pub at the bottom of the road and a couple of shops so you can get all the essentials.

Lovely cosy little bolthole. Everything you need and nothing you don't. We had a lovely stay (two adults, one child). You do need to fairly mobile as the hill is no joke. Especially if you've spent an evening in the Jolly Sailor. Recommended.

Fantastic location in a lovely place but be prepared for a lot of walking up hill. The fact this is a small Cornish village which is gorgeous, but does mean you can't park outside the property. There is parking within a few mins walk but worth noting if you have mobility issues. Lovely cottage but was a bit tight on space for four adults and a two Read moreyear old girl with tons of luggage. Also bit difficult to get a pushchair in and out of the property but can be done, but again worth noting. Hide
