A detached traditional Welsh longhouse dating back 300 years, set in a peaceful rural location adjacent to the village chapel. Close to the coast and Pembrokeshire’s golden, sandy beaches.
With sweeping views across to the Pembrokeshire coast, this charming detached property sits in a peaceful location that will appeal to outdoor-loving families with up to two dogs. It was originally built for a family and their farm animals, long before the chapel next to it. After days out exploring muddy woodland trails and idyllic beaches, throw off your walking boots and enjoy a long, hot soak in the roll-top bath while your happy hounds snooze in front of the wood burner.
The property is traditional in style, with exposed ceiling beams, eclectic furniture and homely touches throughout. Watch your favourite shows on the Smart TV in the spacious lounge, with your best buddies curled up beside you in their baskets. The kitchen/diner is great for socialising and chatting about your plans over breakfast, and there’s a handy ground-floor shower room with underfloor heating. Cottage-style stairs lead up to the three bedrooms on the first floor, all boasting rural and sea views. Outside, the large garden includes a lawn for your pups to play on, although you’ll need to keep a close eye on them as it’s not enclosed.
The coastal hamlet of Porthgain is within 5 miles of the cottage, ideal for harbour walks and leisurely lunches in pubs that welcome canine day-trippers. Join the Pembrokeshire Coast Path for a 2-mile hike to Abereiddi Beach, where stick-chasers can play all year round. Just to the north of the beach is the Blue Lagoon, known for the amazing spectacle of cliff diving and other thrilling water sports. Also not to be missed is St Davids (7 miles), the UKs smallest city, where dogs can explore the grounds of the spectacular cathedral if they’re kept on a lead.
