This quirky barn conversion is the perfect base for a couple or a small family and a waggy-tailed loved one. Located in the National Park, it’s just over a mile from a beautiful beach and comes with access to an enclosed garden.
Ideally located for fun at the coast and in the countryside, this characterful cottage sits close to the village of Bosherston. Original oak beams affirm the heritage of the property, which welcomes you into a pretty lounge/diner where there’s a TV, DVD and a choice cosy seating, including a double pull out sofa bed. Cook up tasty home-style meals in the adjacent kitchen, which has all the essentials of home complemented by more in a nearby utility room. Step through this space and you’ll find a family bathroom. Once the pet has settled for the night, stairs lead to a mezzanine bedroom which has a double bed and a small single bed plus. Exposed beams set in the low sloping ceiling add further character to this pretty room. Your living space extends outdoors, where there’s a large, shared lawn with picnic benches to the front and an enclosed garden with seating which is accessed by walking around the property to the rear.
Bosherston is a tiny village clustered around an ancient church and is best-known for being at the centre of the Pembrokeshire climbing scene. The village provides access to the National Trust’s Bosherston Lakes – three flooded limestone valleys that are covered with lilies in June – and also the golden sands of Broad Haven South, a dune-backed dog-friendly beach with soft golden sand which looks out to Church Rock. For adventures further afield, visit the historic town of Pembroke (5 miles), and the popular coastal resorts of Tenby (15 miles) and Saundersfoot (16 miles). Follow the Pembrokeshire Coast Path 4.5 miles between the two towns for waggy-tailed cliff-top paths, woodland and plenty of wildlife.
