Situated amongst lush countryside is this beautiful ground-floor converted barn studio surrounded by fantastic views of calm fields, perfect for a relaxing retreat with your loved one.

Look forward to frolics through glorious countryside with your faithful companion by your side. The village of Gringley on the Hill is a superb base for exploring north Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. Combine walks from the doorstep with trips to the dog-friendly pub less than half a mile from the property, which sleeps two guests and one canine. And strengthen your mind and body with a yoga session in the on-site studio, which also offers a range of therapeutic treatments.

Set in a farm courtyard, this studio apartment is stylishly decorated and thoughtfully laid out with an open-plan design. Fuel up with a hearty breakfast to give you the energy needed for a day of exploring, making sure Fido’s bowl is full of nourishment too. On nights in, pour a glass of wine and relax on the comfortable sofa in front of the TV while your contented canine beds down for a nap in his basket. When you’re feeling dog tired too, settle down for a restful night’s sleep. The king-size bed and en-suite shower room give the property a real hotel suite feel.

Nature reserves at Daneshill Lakes (8 miles) and Idle Valley (9 miles) offer the chance to observe a diverse array of wildlife while strolling around the lakes. Further afield, unleash your dog in Clumber Park (18 miles) for stick-chasing antics. The park is very canine-friendly and even has a dedicated indoor space with dog beds for resting weary paws. No visit to Nottinghamshire is complete without a scamper through Sherwood Forest (22 miles), the legendary home of Robin Hood.

Lovely little property nice and cosy. The bluebell inn pub about 5 minutes walk from the hideaway is a lovely place for food and they accept dogs which is a bonus too. Only downfall to the place is not much around you unless you drive.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful area. We were welcomed by Katherine on arrival who told us about local walks along the canal and the dog friendly pub. We appreciated the thoughtful welcome pack as did our dog who also was left a treat.

The perfect base for us to visit family at Christmas. Small but perfectly formed property in a lovely rural location. Some lovely treats were left for us and our dog to make us feel welcome. The only two minor points were small and scratchy towels and the sofa is also quite uncomfortable.

We had a lovely stay in The Hideaway and really appreciated the welcome pack and on site spa treatments. The accommodation is cosy and comfy and the owners extremely kind and thoughtful. Some lovely local walks (great laminated maps to use) and going up the beacon is a must if its a clear day! The local pub is well worth a visit and an easy walk. What a lovely place to stay, it was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Finding scones, a bottle of wine and biscuits on arrival was such a lovely surprise. Katherine and her family were very welcoming. The walk along the canal was so peaceful and we seen a variety of wildlife. We would definitely stay again.

For what the property is, it is comfortable and, quite well appointed. The location is in a very beautiful area. However, I have to say that, if you are not very mobile, it is not an ideal place to be! You will need transport to get anywhere away from the village! If you like good food then, the local pub is a must! It's an up hill trip there but, Read moreworth the walk!! Give the "Trent Port" in Gainsborough a miss!!! Not the best quality!!
