Conveniently located in the heart of the South Downs National Park in the pretty Sussex village of High Salvington with its local windmill and within close proximity to Arundel with its Castle, shops and pubs, and only 4 miles from the seaside town of Worthing with its attractive promenade making this the perfect place for a relaxing break. Those looking to soak up the local culture can enjoy a trip to nearby Chichester with its beautiful Cathedral, explore the Roman ruins at Fishbourne Palace, visit Petworth House, home of one of the National Trust’s finest art collections or the Goodwood Estate famed for horse racing, the annual Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival, but also home to a quintessential English stately home.  This charming property is perfectly appointed for two guests and one small / medium dog. Located in the grounds of the owner’s home, this lovingly presented cottage offers a base for two and their faithful friend. Explore both countryside and the nearby coastline by day, heading home to put your feet (or paws) up in the cosy lounge or furnished outdoor space on an evening.

This single storey property has been updated with a neutral décor to offer a bright and cheerful lounge/diner where you can relax in a comfy chair and catch up on your favourite programme on the smart TV.  The well equipped kitchen has everything you need to rustle up a meal for two, a twin bedroom and shower room complete the property.  There is a rear porch which is ideal for storing coats and shoe.

Outside there is an enclosed patio garden with far reaching views and you can even glimpse the sea on a clear day.  There is also hot and cold outside taps which is useful for washing muddy paws and boots and the bonus of a separate washing machine specifically for those muddy dog towels and coats.

 Head out from your doorstep to enjoy walks in the South Downs National Park, finding the vast rural space just moments from home. Let your pup lead the way to the local town of Arundel (7.5 miles), enjoying a waterside walk along the River Arun and stopping off for a well-earnt pint or bite to eat in a welcoming local. You’ll find the coastal towns of Worthing (4 miles) and Brighton (13.5 miles) nearby and well worth a visit, as well as the dog-friendly pebbled shores of Goring Beach just 3 miles away.

We enjoyed a lovely relaxing and peaceful week in this cottage situated in an idyllic location, with a charming patio and garden, and wonderful views downhill towards the sea in the distance.The owners Chris and Ian were extremely welcoming and helpful, and always available to advise when we needed help with appliances, parking etc. The cottage wasRead more immaculate, and well equpped with many thoughtful extra inclu=ding even binoculars for birdwatching. Lovely property which was clean and comfortable. Very well equipped and perfect for couple and dog. Secure garden with distant sea view. Very quiet and in a nice location on the outskirts of Worthing but with fields and dog walking next to the property. Owners friendly and helpful

A lovely well equipped cottage located perfectly for dog walks as literally on edge of South Downs open space. Short drive into town and good location for base for exploring south east coast. Loved the hot outdoor tap so I could bath my dog after a day at the beach.

We plus our dog had a really great time whilst staying at this property near Worthing . Chris and Ian the owners were very helpful and kind.This cottage is kept really tidy and clean and is very well thought out on behalf of the holiday makers and their beloved dogs.
