Located in a peaceful position among quaint cobbled streets and pretty walks along streams, rivers and brooks, this stunning property promises an unforgettable escape to guests – including the four-legged ones! Sleeping ten across five welcoming bedrooms and with space for up to two dogs, this sumptuous house is an opportunity to relax and get away from it all with the wonderful Lake District National Park on the doorstep. Take walks along the promenade at Grange-over-Sands (4 miles) or visit pretty Kendal (17 miles) to sample some mint cake at one of the many dog-friendly cafes.

Whether you’re off to see what events are happening at Cartmel Racecourse (1.5 miles) or you’re taking advantage of the sun in the enclosed garden, there’s something for everyone here. The superb hallway leads you either to a grand dining room with original wood beams and a fabulous oak table or to the inviting lounge where you can take your pick of sofas and snuggle up in front of the wood burner. Your pups will love curling up there as you all watch TV together or play a board game. At bedtime, head up the oak staircase to the luxurious bedrooms for a great night’s sleep.

Make sure you take a trip to Lakeland Miniature Village (4 miles) where over 100 buildings are made from local Coniston slate and your hounds are welcome to explore with you. If you’re looking for a family-friendly day out, Fell Foot Park (8 miles) lets you discover the southern tip of Lake Windermere, while the ruins of Furness Abbey (20 miles) are perfect for young explorers, both human and canine, to sniff around in. Grizedale Forest (17 miles) is ideal for walkies, with many trails available to take paired with beautiful views from Lake Windermere to Coniston Water.
