A chocolate box stone cottage with a blissfully secluded patio garden, set in the tranquil Cornish countryside and perfectly placed for sandy-pawed scampers along the coast. This inviting bolthole is the perfect rural retreat for young families or couples holidaying with their furry companion. Saunter along the three miles of golden sand at Hayle (5 miles) for a magnificent ball-throwing backdrop, then stretch out in the flower-peppered garden with a tipple.

The epitome of country charm, this homely property features a welcoming interior with exposed beams, oak textures, and calming neutral tones throughout. Grab a fluffy towel and dry soggy paws before padding into the open-plan living space. Tend to the cracking wood burner with the help of your fluffy assistant then flop down amongst the soft throw pillows and graze through some post-adventure snacks. Perch at the window seat to flick through a guidebook. Set the wooden dining table for a celebratory evening feast while your snoozy pup dozes by the fire. Whip up dessert in the bright shaker kitchen or pack a picnic for the day’s activities. There is also a handy utility space for freshening up mucky pup accessories. When night falls, retire upstairs to slip into the soft sheets of two airy bedrooms. Discover a spacious double and cosy bunk room, each with peaceful countryside views. After being hounded out for an early morning stroll, delve into an al fresco breakfast in the walled terrace garden while Fido snuffles in the lawn area.

Cultured canines will delight in perusing the local galleries, coffee nooks, and independent shops scattered along the streets of Marazion (7 miles) and take a walk across the magnificent St Michael's Mount or the bustling Porthleven Harbour (9 miles). From Porthleven, enjoy a blustery stroll along the South West Coastal path to Loe Bar (1.5 miles) or drink in breathtaking vistas from the iconic Lizard Point (18.5 miles). Hayle is the nearest beach (5 miles) and was voted the best beach in the UK in 2024 by The Times - most of which is dog friendly all year round.
