A rural retreat tucked away in the heart of the Breconshire countryside with spectacular mountain views, ideal for active walks and cycle rides and evenings spent snuggled in front of the comforting wood burner.
This remote lodge is set high above a meadow, with a picturesque stream running below. The peaceful property, which sleeps three guests and one small pup, has spectacular views across the Black Mountains and Mynydd Troed. Enjoy relaxing walks from your doorstep on Llandefalle Common or journey to the charming little town of Crickhowell (20 miles), with its fabulous dog-friendly eateries and canal-side footpaths.
The beautiful wood-clad lodge, surrounded by farmland, has a fresh and contemporary interior. The open-plan layout makes the lodge feel very spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the far-reaching countryside views. Spend lazy mornings enjoying breakfast around the dining table, whilst your four-legged friend dozes in front of the cosy wood burner. Patio doors lead to the exquisite outdoor area, where you can unwind with a glass of wine or slip into the bubbling hot tub. A secure shed is ideal for storing bikes and it also houses a drying area for all your dog-walking gear. Due to the property’s farmland setting, be sure to keep the pup on a lead and supervise them and children near the pond and stream.
Pop the hound on a lead and walk from the lodge out onto Llandefalle Common, where you’ll discover a vast open landscape, grazed by sheep and mountain ponies with stunning views towards the mountains. Be sure to look up to see the red kites and buzzards soaring overhead.
