An attractive two-bedroom semi-detached cottage with wonderful walks from the doorstep and within easy reach of Brecon and Abergavenny.
Close to the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, pack your bags, grab the leads and escape to the land of peaks, panoramic views and pup-friendly pubs. With waterfalls, reservoirs and rivers to explore, this abode is perfect for those with a love of the great outdoors and making a splash. After days spent exploring, curl up and unwind in front of the roaring open fire.
Dump muddy boots and leads in the welcoming hallway, with its flagstone floor, before collapsing into the comfortable sofa and armchair in the inviting lounge. Throw a log on the open fire and snooze to your heart’s content, waking only to tickle furry tummies and dish out tasty titbits. When you’re feeling rested and rejuvenated, step into the light country-style kitchen to pop the kettle on and take a mug of something warm into the fabulous conservatory which also houses the dining table. Boasting terrific views, sink into the sofa and open the patio doors so your canine chums can leap outside and hunt out new scents. Not only is the outside space brilliant for chasing tails, it’s also the perfect spot for a sundowner evening. Fire up the BBQ and treat all members of the family to a sizzling feast before climbing steep stairs to rest your heads in one of two bedrooms on the first floor.
Rise, shine and grab the lead. Walk 500m to Talybont Reservoir for a waterside walk, 5 miles to Blaen-y-Glyn waterfalls or 1 mile to Talybont-on-Usk. Wander the pretty streets at Talybont-on-Usk and sit down at a dog-friendly eatery to refuel. A 15-mile trip further into the National Park will take you Pen-y-Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, where those with two and four legs can enjoy breathtaking views and a peak-top picnic.
