A quirky meeting hall built in 1926, which has been transformed into a delightful holiday home, creating a super base for exploring the stunning Welsh countryside.
With an open garden to the front of the property and an enclosed paddock across the lane, a decked veranda and awesome views over to the Skirrid and Black Mountains, this home is perfect for lovers of the great outdoors – with both two and four legs. A warming wood burner-effect gas fire promises to keep you warm and is a hit with tufty-eared guests after stick chasing antics outside.
Greeted by a welcoming open-plan living space, head straight for the comfortable sofas from which you can keep a watchful eye on your pup’s antics. After days spent exploring near and far, fire up the wood burner-effect gas fire which adds a handful of cosiness and keeps all members of the family as warm as can be. The sleek, stylish kitchen is well-equipped with an electric cooker, ceramic hob and microwave for rustling up tasty treats for all. Plate up at the table or step outside and dine at the picnic bench whilst your canine pal runs free. Both bedrooms are treated to en-suite shower rooms, but the laundry room (accessed by descending steps outside the hall) is the place to wash muddy paws and towel down soggy fur.
Well-trodden, traffic-free trails lie close to home so you don’t have to bundle any members of the family into the boot to find adventures. Step onto the Offa’s Dyke Path or wind your way towards the Black Mountains for a hike. With a welcoming pub over the road, head out for adventure and pop in to refuel on your way back home. Just 2 miles from home, the market town of Abergavenny has a host of shops and eateries and is known as the ‘Gateway to Wales’. A 15-mile trip north will take you to Hay Bluff, a hill at the northern tip of the Black Mountains where your pup can chase sticks as you admire the views.
