Pack up your tennis balls, poo bags and plenty of chew toys for an unrivalled trip to the country, enjoying the company of your nearest and dearest in this dog-friendly accommodation. A wonderful farmhouse with no neighbouring properties close by, this delectable holiday home gives you and your dogs the freedom to roam. Enjoy walkies from your very doorstep and step outside to discover some of Wales’ most glorious landscapes. Sleeping a pack of eight guests (six humans and three, of course), you needn’t leave anyone at home for your next Welsh staycation.

 

Filled with stone flagged flooring and authentic beams, this traditional rural retreat offers an instant home-from-home for you and your guests. Be sure to head straight for the utility room on arrival, a handy spot for drying off mucky paws and storing boots and coats. Once dry, let your faithful friends discover two cosy spots for curling up the sitting room with an original wood burner or the nook with armchairs and authentic kitchen range. Let sleeping dogs lie downstairs whilst you head on up to the first floor to get a good night’s kip. Also available for your sole use is a private garden and patio with furniture, BBQ and an abundance of lawn space for tiring out energetic pups before bed.

 

Let Fido lead the way with walks from your doorstep, discovering the vast Brecon Beacons National Park that surrounds you. Waterside walks can be enjoyed at the impressive Usk Reservoir (9.5 miles), whilst the Garreg Lwyd (6 miles) and Garreg Las (5.5 miles) mountain peaks offer tiring walks for even the spriteliest of pups. Alternatively, jump in the car to venture to Wales’ south coast, discovering the dog-friendly shores of Baglan Beach just 25.6 miles away and the city of Swansea close by (23.5 miles).

We loved everything about this rural getaway. The location is stunning (as long as you don't mind the bumpy ride to get there), the house is beautiful, with everything you need, and it was truly a wonderful break for us. We loved our stay. The weather wasnt good to us but the log fire kept us warm and toasty. We went with our Honda CRV and VW Up and both cars were fine on the track, we just had to go slow in the Up. We had a great firework free New Years. Our 13.5 year old lab loved the peace and quiet. Would love to go back in the summer and sit outside and watch Read morethe stars. We managed to get some phone reception outside the house under the big tree. Will definitely be back soon. Hide

Beautiful firework free location, lovely quiet with a gorgeous view, great for star spotting at night. Its a warm, cosy, clean and comfy cottage. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need provided. Awesome shower too! The last half mile of the track was quite rough and slippy after Storm Ciaran but all part of the adventure. We had another lovely week at the cottage, it was very comfortable, and there was plenty of space for all of us, with everything we needed. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, and the amazing views! We hope to go back again next year

Large house, beautifully located. It feels very precious to be able to spend some time here. Lots of space for (young) children to be outdoors. The cottage is close to a stunnig drive into the hills. Please be aware that access with a 'low' vehicle is difficult. Ordnance survey walks in the vicinity are overgrown.

Characterful, comfortable cottage with panoramic views. This is an isolated place where you can really get away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Welsh countryside. The long, unsurfaced, single track (with ford) leading up to the cottage requires careful driving to avoid the worst potholes, particularly in wet weather. Idyllic views from the house across to the Black Mountain. Air quality lovely and clean and fresh. Very quiet. A generous-sized house with large rooms and well equipped kitchen. House can get rather chilly in the evenings. House has many floor levels, steps up and steps down to different rooms including the kitchen. Beautiful property in a beautful location. The owner has clearly spent a considerable amount of time, effort and resource in transforming this home. Had a great short stay. Amazing location. Very comfortable house and very warm and cosy. Shame about the dead houseplants! Very well equipped kitchen.Would definitely recommend if you want a rural holiday.

Wonderful Cottage with spectacular views and a good base to explore the Brecon beacons from. The Cottage is very spacious, in a peaceful and quite location, would recommend.

Lovely cottage and views. Tranquil and peaceful but it did not have the walks that we expected, straight from the front door. There was a great range of kitchen equipment and all of the rooms were of a good size but we did find the property quite cold at night and had to use the wood burner.
