Immerse yourselves with your family or friends in the magic of the Brecon Beacons National Park and let a trio of ecstatic hounds join you. Ideal for an extended family break or for a group of dog-loving friends, this gorgeous, seven-bedroom former farmhouse sleeps up to 13 guests, as well as three four-legged companions. Explore the enchanting 240-acre grounds of the working farm together, through which the River Usk flows. Venture 3.5 miles from your base to spend time at the scenic Talybont Reservoir, where you can walk along the shores and through swathes of woodland.

Open the door into this delightful abode to find a retreat with both comfort and character. Call your delighted dogs through to the lounge, where you can light the wood burner and discuss your day. Dish up doggy dinners and hearty feasts for the rest of your party through in the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner, with its Aga. Relax with your pups through in the garden room, while you enjoy a cup of tea and take in the verdant views. A family shower room is also downstairs. Settle your three four-legged friends downstairs for the night then make your way up to the first floor to find five double bedrooms, one with a four-poster bed, a twin and a single. There are also two family bathrooms up here, and one of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom. Take your happy hounds out to wander the grounds to their hearts’ content. Throw balls for them on the lawn and unwind in your private, enclosed area.

Pack a picnic, grab some dog treats and drive 6.5 miles to Llangorse Lake. Members of your party might like to try water sports here, while others take their waggy tailed companions on a 4-mile hike around the lake, with its magnificent scenery.
