A magical Welsh retreat, close to the English border, with spectacular views across the valleys and towards the mountains, and within easy reach of Hay-on-Wye.
Situated on a working farm in Powys, this timber lodge is made for families with discerning hounds who love the scenic unspoilt countryside. Part of a complex of properties, the property sleeps five guests in three bedrooms and has ample outside space with an enclosed garden. Explore Hay-on-Wye, the Brecon Beacons and Offa’s Dyke before returning to your home from home to relax in front of the wood burner.
Step inside this rustic retreat, decorated in a contemporary style with a warm and welcoming ambience. Everything is on one level, with the open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area the heart of the home. Settle into the cosy sofas in the living area and enjoy the TV with Freesat while pup pals curl up by the warming wood burner. Rustle up delicious feasts in the well-equipped kitchen which has an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine; and there’s an extra fridge/freezer in the barn where you can store your fishing catch. When night falls, you’ll find a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, a cosy twin, and a single bedroom, plus a family shower room. Outside, there’s a large balcony, garden furniture, a BBQ, and a lawned garden so you can plan evening meals under the stars while children and dogs play. There’s also bike storage and ample parking for guests. The owner plants a tree for every visitor to the farm estate lodge.
