Located in Llangynidr, this property is just a short stroll from two popular pubs, both of which are dog friendly and have children’s play areas, ideal to keep everyone in your family entertained. Sleeping four across two charming bedrooms, there is a useful utility room up a couple of steps just perfect for a cosy dog bed or two. You will love spending warm evenings in the pretty summer house with a glass of wine as the sun goes down.

This delightful cottage seamlessly blends period charm with contemporary design, with traditional features such as exposed beams and stonework and a large inglenook fireplace highlighting the true beauty of this country property. From the kitchen, open the door to the back garden so your canine can potter in and out as he pleases as you cook up a delicious meal to be enjoyed at the dining table. On chilly nights, light the wood burner and settle down in the living room for a movie as your pup curls up in the warmth. Upstairs, the two charming bedrooms with sash windows overlook the village; wake up and take in the morning with a coffee and an al fresco breakfast in the walled enclosed garden, up a set of steps.

The village of Llangynidr, through which the River Usk runs, has a useful shop and a dog-friendly pub, perfect for a pint at the end of a busy day. Set out on foot or bicycle and follow the Crickhowell Canal Walk through pretty countryside, running all the way to Crickhowell (5 miles), which has some excellent places to eat and drink. For something more challenging, take on nearby Tor y Foel (5.5 miles) or Myarth (2.5 miles), both of which boast spectacular summit views. Take to the water with a visit to Llangorse Lake (6.5 miles), where kayaking and sailing can all be enjoyed.

What a fabulous little place, very comfortable for a family of 3 and 2 dogs. Ash cottage was very clean & tidy & had everything you could wish for to make your stay comfortable. A lovely, homely little cottage in a beautiful location. The owner clearly understands the needs of visitors, and in my case, the requirements of dogs. It is ideally suited to dog owners, a totally secure garden. The village is really quiet with two excellent pubs. One, the Red Lion, serves excellent food & beer, is less than 5 minutes walk away. Really loved our stay, this cottage was our home from home. Ideal if you have dogs. Great local area and lots to do within close proximity if you enjoy walks. Cottage was cosy with the log fire. Our 2nd visit to Ash cottage, bonfire weekend to escape the fireworks for our very nervous dog! Beautiful cottage, so cosy, really well equipped. Cottage has wonderful bathroom and kitchen and the owner had very thoughtfully left a little welcome pack which included for our fur baby. Cottage very dog friendly secure garden and he could even watch world go by in front garden which is gated.

A beautiful comfortable cottage with a well equipped kitchen. The bed was really comfy and the dogs had a lovely secure garden to explore. The dog box with extra poop bags, treats and travel water bottle was a lovely touch and we used the water bottle as we forgot ours. Just a 3 minute walk to the closest pub or a 20 min walk to the other pub. StafRead moref at both were very friendly as were the locals. We will go back. Hide
