Set tails wagging with a staycation fit for a four-legged king, characterised by long countryside walks, frolics in the sea, and more delicious treats than you can shake a stick at. This enchanting cottage is set on a pretty street in a quintessential Dorset village just 5.5 miles from Bridport, the gateway to the Jurassic Coast. Sleeping six humans and one hound across three bedrooms, it is the perfect choice for families and small groups.

Follow the shared path and step inside your cosy abode to find a homely and welcoming interior with soothing decor and thoughtful accessories. Snuggle up in the lounge/diner with Fido at your feet, or settle down at the table for board games over a glass of fine wine. The delightful kitchen has everything you need to whip up delicious meals, which can be enjoyed inside or al fresco in the attractive courtyard garden. A comfortable sunroom completes the ground floor, providing a welcome spot for morning coffee and quiet reflection. Upstairs, three cosy bedrooms await the weary-pawed traveller, and there is a bathroom with a shower over the bath for long soaks. One of the bedrooms also features an en-suite shower room for the ultimate treat.

Tucked at the heart of a picturesque valley, there are plenty of walks available from your doorstep. The surrounding landscape is famed for being an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and you’ll be enchanted by the ancient woodland, rolling hills and winding river. Historic Beaminster is certainly worthy of a visit 2 miles away, but if you are keen to hunt for fossils the gently lapping shores of Charmouth (13 miles) and Lyme Regis (16 miles) are brilliant for budding palaeontologists.

Cottage is quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed that immensely. Also cosy and fairly comfortable. We found the TV system very cumbersome, difficult and time consuming to manage.

A comfy, well equipped and roomy cottage, in a quiet village (except for the church bells ringing on the quarter). Its close to the seaside and we enjoyed days at Bridport/west bay, Lyme Regis and Seatown. The Dorset narrow windy roads needed getting used to!

The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful setting, it is well equipped and spacious, but needed a good clean throughout. It also has a damp problem, which might be a concern for people, like my wife, who have chest problems. Maybe a dehumidifier would help. The cottage is close to the coast and other towns, villages and local attractions, which are wRead moreorth a visit. With the damp sorted and a thorough clean, I would recommend a stay there to my friends. Hide

Lovely cottage , appreciated the quiet and beautiful location. It was really well equipped- we stay in cottages regularly and it makes such a difference to have items such as kitchen roll and tin foil provided .

Lovely cottage in a very quiet village with very little light pollution, so you might want to bring a head torch if going out at night... Though if you can do without, you'll see more stars! Bedrooms were all comfortable, showers had plenty of pressure & warm water, and the living room was spacious and relaxing.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful quiet village with easy access to the coast. Cottage is clean and tidy and very well equipped. There is a gravelled yard at the back and this was fine for al fresco dining and adequate for our dogs to lie out in. We will return.
