You’ll have easy access to the long-distance Pennine Way, which will give you an authentic taste of northern England. You can join it just 15 miles away at Hebden Bridge.
The property, which is set back from the road on the owner’s private land, offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Enter through the large oak door and into the wonderful open-plan living space, which is perfect for entertaining. Plush furnishings and elegant touches create a real sense of style. The kitchen has the wow factor, with a huge central island to gather around for breakfast and plenty of room for the dog beds. Outdoors, there’s a delightful enclosed patio garden where you can sit with a glass of wine or a dog chew and admire the far-reaching views over the valley.
Scammonden Reservoir is the ideal place to walk the pups and experience a little slice of calm. There’s a beautiful 3-mile track that takes you alongside the water, with gorgeous views of the surrounding hillside and woodlands. You can also watch the boats peacefully bobbing on the water. If you and your trusty canine friends fancy a challenge, you can take on the Pennine Way. The 268-mile route takes you from the Peak District all the way to the Scottish Borders. It can be remote and tough at times, but you’ll be rewarded with the most spectacular scenery. Stage 4 starts at Hebden Bridge, and winds its way for 11 miles to Ponden, through the heather moorland that inspired Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights.
