This beautiful property is situated 6 miles from pretty moorland town Dulverton and is ideal for your whole family – including up to two four-pawed members! Sleeping eight across three welcoming bedrooms plus a sofa bed in an additional lounge, it won’t be long before you’re enjoying some of the fantastic walks and spectacular views not far from the house. Take a walk along the Tarr Steps in the heart of Exmoor (5.5 miles) and soak up the peace and tranquillity. With the whole of the National Park to explore, you and your hound will relish in the superb scenery all around you.

The property, set within an attractive non-enclosed garden, is spacious and comfortable. The dining room has soft lighting that makes it a peaceful room to have an evening meal in, while exposed beams and a wood burner-effect gas fire in the lounge beckon you to sink into the sofas with your hounds curled up by your feet. Upstairs, the bedrooms have soft decor that promotes a wonderful night’s sleep. When you wake up, head down to enjoy your morning coffee in the sun out on the partially-enclosed patio – just watch out for furry paws in the pond!

Dulverton is a lovely town to pop into in the evening to grab a quick bite to eat at one of the dog-friendly pubs. But if you’d rather venture further away from home, spend the day taking in the outstanding views from Lynmouth on the North Devon coast (22 miles), and walking the South West Coast Path another mile to the Valley of Rocks. Follow the Trail of Tales at Dunster Castle (10 miles), which offers a great day out for the entire family, including 3 acres of grounds and Mediterranean gardens to wander around.

What else to say than perfect. The house is great, the garden very pleasant. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well-equiped, a nice Rayburn for cooking. The surrounding of the house is so restfull too, and not far from many interesting places to visit. I do recommend Red Door House.

This cottage has more than enough room for a large family. Our Grandson absolutely adored the house and garden, he rated it as his best cottage yet.

This was an absolute gem. The pictures of the garden do not do it justice. I felt like a little kid in a secret garden with lots of hidden pathways and levels. The cottage was perfect for our stay with our dog.

A lovely old 40s style house. Cozy comfy. There are steps up and down from most rooms. And the terraced gardens may not be very suitable for toddlers. It's a great situation to get to most places in the Exmoor region. It has everything you need. The owner is lovely and approachable

We had a fabulous stay at red door house. It was quiet and relaxing with afternoon tea in the garden to the sound of beautiful bird song. The house is within half an hour and in easy reach of Minehead, Tiverton and some National Trust gems. We had a great week in the Red Door House. The house was welcoming, comfortable, well-equipped, and spacious. The weather was not ideal, but we went for lots of walks and outings anyway. All-in-all, a really good family holiday.
