This terraced cottage is perfectly located to explore the stunning Snowdonia National Park with a host of visitor attractions close by.
This charming cottage, which sleeps four guests and two canine pals, is a perfect base for exploring Snowdonia National Park. There are beautiful walks in every direction, taking in stunning mountains and dramatic waterfalls, as well as a whole host of woof-friendly visitor attractions, such as the fascinating narrow-gauge heritage railway, the oldest independent railway in the world!
Tucked away behind the high street, this charming cottage benefits from a peaceful location. The property is decorated in a contemporary style, with careful attention taken to ensure comfort and relaxation. A spacious hallway provides an area to store all your dog-walking gear. After a long walk, curl up on the sumptuous corner sofa with your favourite book, whilst Rover and Fido warm their paws in front of the roaring wood burner. Outside, you’ll find an enclosed courtyard, where the dogs can get some fresh air or you can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining on a summer’s evening.
Hop on the heritage train to Porthmadog – the station is just 100 metres from the property – and majestically wind your way through mountains and forests, and past lakes and waterfalls, with your favourite four-legged companions by your side. When you arrive in Porthmadog, the pups will love running around on Black Rock Sands, whilst you explore the caverns and admire the spectacular mountain views. If you really fancy stretching the legs and paws, head to Bala Lake (20 miles away). A fantastic 14-mile footpath circumnavigates this largest natural lake in Wales, providing quite magnificent views over the water. Just make sure you have appropriate footwear, as the wet moorland can get quite boggy at certain times of the year.
