This wonderfully presented and traditional Norfolk cottage provides a family with the ideal holiday home and is ideally located to explore the beautiful coast and countryside of this fantastic area.

Picture your ideal staycation at the heart of the Norfolk countryside, treating the pack to breathtaking walks along the stunning coastline and cosy evenings curled in front of a roaring fire. Sleeping six humans and an accompanying hound, this charming cottage is guaranteed to set tails wagging with its home comforts and handy village location.

Spacious, inviting and beautifully presented with fresh decor and bold splashes of colour, the property is a delightful mix of traditional and contemporary. Return red-cheeked and muddy from your adventures, hosing down messy paws in the utility area or downstairs shower room before letting Fido scamper into the lounge to relax by the open fire. Rustle up fantastic feasts in the impressive kitchen, gathering together to dine in style in the dining room. Upstairs, the three elegant bedrooms are a treat for weary guests, and a gorgeous family bathroom and separate shower room are perfect for refreshing tired bones. Outside, the enclosed garden is a suntrap for enjoying al fresco meals and balmy summer drinks on the patio. There is off-road parking for two cars, and ample lawn space for Rover to stretch his legs – just take care of curious pooches by the unfenced pond.

Sniff out exciting walks from your doorstep, scampering across Syderstone Common in search of the elusive natterjack toad, or venture 8.5 miles by car to pad through the spectacular grounds of the Holkham Estate, taking in the marvellous pinewoods and the famously pretty Holkham Bay. Four-legged friends are welcome here without restrictions, and also at Hunstanton, 14 miles away, where you can watch the sunset over a leisurely fish and chip supper. The resort town is packed with exciting attractions such as a sea life centre, funfair, and crazy golf, as well as lots of independent shops and eateries.

Another lovely stay at the Old School House. The house itself is always clean, very comfortable and well equipped. The location is great, especially for our dog with a secure garden and circular country walks on your doorstep whilst beaches are also close. And the people in the village are super friendly! We love it and hope to return.

We have had a wonderful week in Norfolk. The Old School House was perfect for 2 couples, our aunt and 2 dogs. We found it a great location for dog walking, it was situated in a quiet village with lots of fields with well marked walking paths. We were 15 minutes to dog friendly beaches and towns. The house was very well equipped, we even made a fullRead more roast dinner. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the rooms and the garden was great. Id highly recommend the house to anyone visiting north Norfolk. Hide

We loved the house and its location. Everything we wanted was provided. If we couldnt find something we knew we just had to look harder because it was in the house somewhere.

We have stayed at The Old School House many times and continue to enjoy it very much. It is ideal for 6 people, with separate bathrooms for each couple. The facilities are ideal and we have no complaints whatsoever.
