This fantastic property, located just 7 miles from the edge of the Peak District National Park, is the ideal holiday home for you and your guests – and that includes the four-legged ones! Sleeping six across three extravagant bedrooms and with plenty of space for up to two dogs, this barn conversion is an opportunity for you all to enjoy a little rest and relaxation while still being close enough to walks, family attractions and pretty villages to enjoy. Take a ride on a tram at Crich Tramway Village (1 mile) before heading home to bubble away in your own private hot tub.
The cottage, which is situated on the owners’ working livestock farm, is spacious and welcoming with a fabulous blend of contemporary styling mixed with traditional farmhouse decor. The kitchen is sleek and stylish with everything you need to cook up a storm, while trendy lighting in the open-plan living area makes it a pleasure to eat at the rustic dining table. After dinner, sink into the sofas while the pups curl up by the crackling wood burner; if it’s a warm evening, soak up the views of the surrounding pastures in the enclosed garden until the sun goes down.
Take a wander around the grounds of Chatsworth House (13 miles) where the hounds will love sniffing out wildlife in over 100 acres of gardens and 1,000 acres of parkland. They’re also welcome on the cable cars at the Heights of Abraham (7 miles) which is a must-visit while you’re in the area; they can trot around the Waggy Tails Way with a human while the rest of you can go on a cavern tour. But if they’re craving some underground adventure, they can join you at Treak Cliff Cavern (29 miles) and see the amazing purple mineral for themselves.
