This fantastic property, located in the small village of Capel Garmon, is the ideal little bolthole for you and your beau – with your loyal hound in tow, of course! Sleeping you both in a stylish double bed, this pod is your chance to have a little indulgence away from home while still having plenty of things to do on your doorstep. Take the 4-mile circular walk through Capel Garmon and the Conwy that starts less than a mile from the property, then spend the evening soaking in the hot tub among spectacular views.
The pod, which sits in front of a former barn, is set out in a contemporary open-plan style. Rustle up a hearty meal in the kitchen and eat at the dining table or out on the decking; if you don’t fancy cooking, there’s a dog-friendly pub less than a mile away. After you’ve watched the night unfold outside, light the wood burner and snuggle up on the sofa with your favourite film on the Smart TV while the pup snoozes at your feet. At bedtime, slip between the sheets in a comfy double bed and wake up to the stunning views from the windows.
Head to Betws-y-Coed (3 miles) for a day of walkies along the river, shopping and cafes. Take a ride on the charming Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway from the Blaenau station (13.5 miles) where your canine companion is welcome, or travel further to hop on board the Great Orme Tramway (20.5 miles). If both two-legged and four-legged guests are feeling fit, hike to the summit of Mount Snowdon (19 miles) for extraordinary views of the national park. Spend the day at Harlech Beach (28 miles) and walk for miles along the Wales Coast Path until little legs get tired.
