This beautiful property, situated just 7 miles from the quaint town of Bakewell, is ideal for large families or groups of friends – including the four-legged ones! Sleeping six across three peaceful bedrooms and with plenty of space for up to two dogs, this property is an opportunity to relax and unwind in a wonderful countryside location while still having plenty of things to do on the doorstep. Make sure you go and say hello to the resident llamas in the pine woods nearby before heading off for walkies along one of the many footpaths from the front door.

The cottage, which has a charming traditional barn door, has a delightful farmhouse feel. The huge kitchen/diner is a pleasure to cook in among rustic furnishings, while exposed beams and a wood burner in the lounge invite you to sink into the sofas or chairs and curl up with a good book. At bedtime, climb up your own personal staircase to each bedroom; wake up among soft, calming decor and head down to the huge shared garden and patio with your morning coffee to watch the morning unfold. Children and pups will enjoy playing on the lawn as you look on. Please note the shared garden contains two ponds and the owner's outdoor swimming pool, all with deep water, please take care with children and animals.

Stroll the grounds of Chatsworth House (9 miles), where there are over 100 acres of gardens and 1,000 acres of parkland by the River Derwent to discover. The hounds will love feeling the wind in their ears onboard a vintage tram at Crich Tramway Village (13 miles) where you can soak up the ambience on a period street. The Heights of Abraham (10 miles) is a must-visit; the whole family can travel on a cable car up to the 60-acre country park and the dogs can enjoy the ‘Waggy Tails Way’ with a human while the rest of you go on a cavern tour.

  • Sleeps - 6+2 - additional pull-out single beds in king-size bedrooms

Amazing location!! The house looks beautiful and couldnt get any better for peace and tranquility! It could have been cleaner unfortunately and some parts of the house could do with some TLC like the downstairs bath room but apart from that nice.

What a beautiful place. You get attached to the place as soon as you get in. The lady responsible for the managing the place is extremely helpful and friendly. Even the neighbours are there for you to help if needed. Over friendly with children. All in all, superb. Thank you Lynn for everything.

We loved so many aspects of Spout Cottage, from the silence, apart from the constant presence of water, the ability to walk out from the doorstep.
