This quaint property, located in the popular village of Cromford, is a wonderful holiday home for you and your guests, including the waggy-tailed ones! Sleeping five across three peaceful bedrooms and with enough space for up to two dogs, it won’t be long before you’re off out exploring the Peak District and other neighbouring towns and villages. Go for long walks along the High Peak Trail (1 mile) or learn about the history of Richard Arkwright at Cromford Mills (0.5 miles), the birthplace of the modern factory system.
The property, which has some steep stairs inside, is cosy and inviting with beautiful exposed brick walls in the stairways and the main bedroom. The huge kitchen/diner is sleek and stylish, while exposed beams and a wood burner in the lounge beckon you to sink back into the sofas, your pups snoozing at your feet. Upstairs, the bedrooms lend a tranquil feel to your stay; wake up among soft, pastel colours and head to the contemporary-style bathroom for a refreshing shower to start your day right.
The Peak District Mining Museum (1 mile) gives you a fascinating insight into the history of the lead mining industry in Derbyshire and is well-placed for a stroll around Derwent Gardens afterwards which is just opposite. Your four-legged friends are welcome on the cable cars at the Heights of Abraham (1.5 miles) and can explore the acres of woodland with stunning views. Go back in the time at the Crich Tramway Village (4.5 miles) and take a ride on a vintage tram before hopping off and enjoying a picnic at the end of the line.
