This striking property, situated 15 miles from Aberaeron Beach, is the ideal holiday home for families or groups of friends – including the hounds, of course! Sleeping ten across five welcoming bedrooms and with space for up to two dogs, this stunning barn is an opportunity to soak up the wonderful views of Cors Caron Nature Reserve from your doorstep or go walking from the many footpaths in the area. Market town Tregaron (3 miles) is the place to go to stock up on tasty treats before enjoying the spectacular scenery in the town.

The property, which sits on a 76-acre estate, is decorated in a tasteful contemporary style while retaining lots of character. Set out in a reverse-level style, the open-plan living area is upstairs and offers beautiful views of the nature reserve to the front thanks to a dramatic full-length window. Snuggle up on the sofa in the evenings among charming wood beams, enjoying a gripping novel or TV drama while the pups snooze by the wood burner. Play a spot of pool if you’re feeling competitive before heading off to bed in one of the sumptuous bedrooms; wake up refreshed and head down to the patio for an al fresco breakfast.

Take a walk around the grounds of Llanerchaeron (15.5 miles), a remarkable Georgian villa, and say hello to the animals that live on the farm complex. Climb aboard the Vale of Rheidol Railway (16.5 miles) with the whole family and experience the stunning valleys from the comfort of a steam train. See if you can spot dolphins, porpoise, and seals on a boat trip from New Quay (22 miles), where you can also grab the opportunity to see Castell Bach, the intriguing ruins of an Iron-age settlement.

Lovely house with beautiful views! Only 30 min drive from Aberystwyth! Lots of outdoor space for dogs. Although owners live next door, the house feels very private. The upstairs area is perfect for large groups and the fireplace is lovely.

What a wonderful new year stay at the barn. We loved our time spent with family and friends. Wonderful views, spacious accommodation and the hot tub and pool table were both welcome treats for our stay. There were a few little quibbles but nothing that took away from our holiday. A big thank you to the owners.
