This beautiful property, in the seaside village of Westward Ho!, sleeps six guests and two hairy hounds. The cottage is in an enviable location, with views over the cricket ground to the sea beyond. Live like a local and enjoy a sunrise stroll along the beach, before rounding up the troops and heading out for a fun day of exploring. Blow away the cobwebs on a clifftop walk to Clovelly (11 miles away), or potter around the nearby market town of Bideford (3.5 miles away).

The gorgeous cottage is packed with luxurious touches to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The property oozes elegance, and neutral tones create a tranquil environment with flashes of colour for a modern twist. The reverse-level layout is designed to make the most of the surroundings; there are exceptional sea views from the spacious lounge/kitchen/diner. Doors from here open onto the balcony – the perfect place for a relaxing morning coffee or for your trusty companions to have a little doze after a long walk. There’s also a pretty enclosed garden where the pups can play, and you can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining on a summer’s evening.

The 11-mile hike along the South West Coast Path to the historic fishing village of Clovelly is a must for keen walkers. The terrain is challenging at times, but you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking sea views and a feeling of pure escapism. Once you arrive at the unique car-free village, watch the boats coming and going in the harbour whilst tucking into a fresh crab sandwich. Victoria Park in Bideford is a great family day out on a sunny day. Woofers are welcome on leads and there’s a fantastic seasonal outdoor pool for kids, plus a van selling delicious local ice cream.

We had a wonderful weeks, great location. Loved being able to take the dog on the beach past the visitors centre. It would have been really helpful to have an information pack in the accommodation. Highlighting places to explore. We went to instow , its ten min away . Beautiful place the dogs can use the beach . Great meal at the boat house on the Read moreseafront. Hide

Excellent accommodation and a great base to explore north Devon. Our second visit, both times at the end of November, making it a relaxing break when everywhere is very quiet.

Had a fabulous stay, a perfect location for walks on the beach. Hamper was a lovely touch. Could not fault the accommodation. We definitely want to go back!
