Set in the heart of picture-postcard Aberaeron in Ceredigion, this coastal cottage sleeps five guests across three bedrooms, plus one four-legged friend. You’ll find amenities along the colourful seafront, while Aberystwyth (16.5 miles) and Cardigan (22.5 miles) frame the North and South of this magnificent Welsh bay, full of adventures for your hound-loving pack. Watch boats bobbing around the harbour, and make plans for a marine wildlife safari from the town’s quay. Return home to the comfort of your well-equipped property at the end of each day of adventures in this magical setting.
Take two steps up to the property entrance where your pup pal will bound towards the cosy living room. Step down to the dining room where you’ll find original features and a welcoming ambience. Or step into the well-equipped kitchen where cookery is a pleasure and mealtimes a breeze. When sleepy heads nod, you’ll find three cosy bedrooms upstairs - one bedroom and a family bathroom on the landing (with some height restrictions), with two steps up to the remaining two bedrooms. Enjoy morning coffees, al-fresco evenings and canine treats on the enclosed rear patio, while your owners are relaxing in the private hot tub. Off-road parking is available for two cars.
Summer visitors should go crabbing along Aberaeron’s picturesque harbour, or enjoy town festivals, including a carnival, and a beer and cider festival in August; plus a Festival of Welsh Ponies and Cobs in September. History buffs can explore 900 years of Welsh history at Cardigan Castle (22.5 miles) where dogs are welcome in the grounds and garden restaurant area. Inland, the National Trust Llanerchaeron (2.5 miles) offers a dog-friendly welcome in parkland and woodland, or go roaming with your hound along the 870-mile long Wales Coast Path - one of the best sections is along the shores of Cardigan Bay where the UK’s largest population of bottlenose dolphins can be seen.
