This luxurious property, on the fringe of Dartmoor National Park, is perfect for a rural getaway with friends and family. The large country home sleeps 12 guests and welcomes two canine chums. The beautiful setting will inspire you to get outdoors and explore with the hounds, and the nearby walks will not disappoint! Step into the enchanted forest at Lydford Gorge, just 1 mile away, or venture into the Tamar Valley, 10 miles from the property, and admire the breathtaking scenery in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Plush fabrics and elegant touches add to the luxurious feel at this exquisite property. Warm tones create a cosy atmosphere, along with the roaring wood burners. The spacious house offers numerous areas to chill out; there are two lounge areas, as well as a peaceful reading gallery, so the hounds can easily sneak off for some quiet time if it all gets too much. There’s a dining table to seat everyone, so you can enjoy long lazy breakfasts together or host a fabulous dinner party in the evening. Outside, there’s a large lawned garden with plenty of new sniffs to investigate, as well as a fire pit with BBQ grill for outdoor dining on a summer’s night. You’ll also find your own private hot tub in the garden: perfect to combat any aches and pains after a long moorland walk!

Head to Tamar Trails Centre (10 miles away) for a whole host of group activities, including treetop surfing and archery. There’s also a network of over 15 miles of walking trails, through the scenic Tamar Valley, which Fido and Rover will love. There are several National Trust attractions in the area, including Lydford Gorge. This magical, shady walk is ideal on a hot afternoon, and leads to the 30m-high Whitelady Waterfall.

A lovely house, suitable for different family groups, ages, interests, with space to spread out, and rooms big enough to come together. Well appointed kitchen and lots of crockery, glassware etc made entertaining easy
