Experience a Scottish adventure with your wee doggie, staying in this Isle of Arran retreat that’s pet friendly. Pack your days full of walkies excursions and fell climbing expeditions, letting Fido lead the way whilst you admire the marvellous scenery as you go. A comfortable evening awaits at the end of every hike-packed afternoon, returning home to this impressive farmhouse property with space for recharging indoors or out, weather dependent. There’ll be no reason to leave any member of the pack behind when enjoying a stay here, as this place accommodates a total of eight guests with one four-pawed pal.
Bespoke fittings and contemporary interiors add to the appeal of this two-storey house, so put your best paw forward and step inside. The open-plan living space is a sociable area on the ground floor made for cooking, dining and unwinding with man’s best friend gently snoozing away in their bed in the corner. For summer month stays, French doors here lead out into the enclosed garden, giving your pup free roam of the indoor-outdoor space with patio doors propped open. In the winter, a wood burner keeps toes (and paws) cosy before bed. Split over two floors, discover four bedrooms and three bathrooms throughout the house, including a spacious double room with en-suite conveniently placed downstairs.
The pawprint-rated Isle of Arran is a magnificent place to spend time with some canine company, offering endless walking opportunities and a selection of pet-friendly pubs and cafes in which to receive some refreshments. Very close to home, the Lochranza Castle (1 mile) is a scenic place from which to embark on a walk, complete with grassy space for ballgames outside. From here, follow the Cock of Arran walk, a coastal hike leading all the way to Sannox (6.5 miles) and presenting some awe-inspiring views.
