Located in a wonderful rural setting in the North Devon countryside, this large converted barn provides the perfect base for a family holiday. With the coastal town of Bude approximately 10 miles from your doorstep, along with spectacular walks through 30 acres of surrounding woodland and plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby, you will be thoroughly spoilt for choice with activities. Bring along your canine companion to share the holiday with you - after all, furry friends are part of the family too!

This beautifully converted barn has many features that make it every bit as charming as expected. Solid wood fixtures give the space a rustic feel, whereas the open-plan layout creates a sense of space. The lounge area is a homely affair, perfect for cosy nights with your family and top dog. Curl up by the wood burner-effect gas fire after a long day walking and watch a movie on the Smart TV/DVD. The kitchen is well-equipped for throwing together a delicious meal and the sociable dining area has plenty of space for the whole family to gather. French doors from the open-plan space lead to an outdoor area which provides an idyllic spot for a little rest and recuperation. Four bedrooms set across two floors complete the space along with four bathrooms.

A 16-mile drive will bring you to the popular coastal town of Bude, where you can explore the stunning coastline and its choice of golden sandy beaches. Your canine companion will surely take the lead on this adventure! Here, you will also be able to enjoy an array of pubs, restaurants and little shops. Just 8 miles south of the property lies the market town of Holsworthy. Potter around the independent shops, or enjoy a hearty meal in one of the restaurants or village pubs.

A wonderful place, we loved every minute and did not want to leave. We are looking forward to returning next year. We especially loved the games barn and the little craft shed was super sweet. Lots of lovely memories made. Miss it! XxX

Really lovely and welcoming owner. You could tell they had really thought about the whole place well and had games and books etc for all aged children which was brilliant. The only thing that could have been improved was having the garden attached to the property but it was only a small thing. Would definitely recommend.

House was really lovely, with everything we needed, including toys and books for our little ones, high chair and travel cot. The kitchen was really well equipped. The games barn was brilliant. We were very unlucky with the weather so didnt get to enjoy the onsite play park or walk to the local pub. Lovely welcome from Sheila on arrival and the freshly baked bread and welcome pack were a nice touch. Property is in a nice secluded location in a farm setting well away from road, down a private track with excellent view across the fields from the kitchen and one of the bedrooms. Beautiful spot, lovely property and Sheila so helpful and generous. Was perfect for our two families - location required a bit of travel to spots to visit like Bude, Clovelly, The Hidden Valley and Westward Ho! I cannot fault the property or facilities. The owner is friendly, welcoming and will help in any way. The location means you have to drive to get anywhere but if this is not a problem would highly recommend. The games room is great for children especially in the evening or if the weather is not kind also the play area. This is our second stay at South Woodford as as group of very old friends. The accommodation is absolutely stunning. Every small detail has been thought of. It is immaculately clean and really comfortable. Location wise it is ideal for the north Devon or Cornwall coast. Bude beach is only 30 minutes away. Spent an excellent week here. The property was lovely and plenty big enough for our party of 5 adults and 5 children. Having 3 en-suites and another 2 toilets was really handy. Friendly host who is close by if needed, although we wanted for nothing. The play barn and play area were big hits with the children who spent every evening there. Lovely, spacious, warm, clean house. Great for a family get together and really well equipped, especially for little ones (toys, plastic bowls/plates/cups, stair gates, highchair, travel cot). Lovely spacious cottage, 4 adult couples and a dog stayed for a week in total comfort. Very clean, walk out the back door, small patio with a BBQ that we used.....games barn that would be useful for kids. A very clean and comfortable property ideally suited for extended family with lots of space and parking. The "extras" in terms of games barn and kids play area make it an outstanding property.

If you want to escape and enjoy some rest and recuperation this is the place for you. Great for families with its own playbarn, playground and woodland walk. For the more adventurous Bude is about 30mins away for surfing, sunbathing or just paddling. Host was attentive and helpful. Accommodation is modern and to a very high standard
