This picturesque stone cottage, situated in the quaint village of Brassington, sleeps four guests and two dogs. The cosy property is the perfect bolthole to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and even has a hot tub to sink into after a long walk. You can head out on foot from the property into the heart of the breathtaking Peak District National Park, with its steep limestone valleys and dramatic moorland – perfect sniffing territory for the four-legged ones to enjoy.
The warm and inviting accommodation cleverly combines contemporary styles, as seen in the sleek kitchen, with the cottage’s beautiful original features. Plush furnishings and unique fabrics add a touch of elegance to each area. You’ll find large comfy sofas and a roaring wood burner in the lounge, making it the perfect spot to snuggle up after a long walk with the woofers stretched out on the traditional stone floor. Outside, there’s an enclosed courtyard as well as the hot tub, so crack open the bubbly and enjoy a night under the stars with your nearest and dearest. In the morning, sip your coffee on the bistro set at the front of the property and watch the world go by whilst the hounds stretch their legs.
Just 2 miles away is Carsington Water. This fabulous reservoir is the ideal spot for dog walking on a hot day, thanks to the shady areas under the trees. Pack a picnic and admire panoramic views over the water; just remember to keep the dogs on a lead to protect the wildlife. Chatsworth House, 13 miles away, is another nice excursion. There are 105 acres to explore, again with the dogs on leads, including historic waterworks, statues and rock gardens. Dogs are welcome in the cafe and drink stations are also provided.
