Stay off the beaten track here on the Isle of Arran, soaking up the rural walkies and far-reaching sea views with your best four-legged friends by your side. This charming family home has been lovingly renovated to host five guests, with an optional sofa bed boasting space for one more to sleep. Your canine companions are just as important in this stay on the Scottish Isles, with two pup pals welcome to join you on the trip.

An unforgettable property in rural Arran, this cottage is over 200 years old and is filled to the brim with character. Inside, you’ll find it’s been entirely modernised to offer a stylish and comfortable space to unwind. On arrival you may want to head into the utility room, drying off muddy paws and throwing doggie towels into the washing machine if necessary. On an evening you’ll find two comfortable spaces for the family to relax, including a lounge with a TV, and the dining room which features a sofa, TV and wood burner. Fido and Rover can curl up in these toasty spots and dream of walkies yet to come whilst the family enjoys a film or TV show. In the summer months, make full use of the outdoor space, unwinding on the patio furniture whilst dogs and children play together on the lawn and fields.

Despite its rural location, the popular village of Brodick is just a 1-mile walk down a country road. Take the lead and wander through the village, soaking up the sea views and quaint atmosphere. Alternatively, head up to Brodick Castle (1.5 miles) to wander its stunning gardens and vast country park. Sniff out adventure further afield with a trip to Goatfell (4.5 miles), Arran’s highest peak and a stunning walkies route for your energetic pups.

Lovely converted farmhouse in an idyllic setting with views of Goatfell. Comfortable and well equipped. Secure garden for dogs with outdoor lighting. Misses a utility room which would have been useful for wet walking boots and a wet dog. The Wood burner a lovely feature and the upstairs shower a hit with teenage girls! A great base to explore the IRead moresland, would recommend a meal at the Corrie Hotel, Ormisdale Hotel and lunch at Wineport. The Co-Op well stocked for self catering too. Hide

This was my second visit to this cottage very comfy all mod conns so quiet and peaceful . Horses in the field behind and pheasants in your back garden possibly need a car unless you have bicycles or love walking as its slightly out of the way but still close to. Rodrick , would recommend and are looking to book again next year .

Beautiful cottage in lovely location. Beds are incredibly comfortable. Views from the cottage are fantastic. Although technically walkable to the village its not a walk you would want to make with young children as part of the walk is on one of the main roads on the Island and does not have a footpath. I must add the main roads are not busy :). WouRead moreld thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone it is fantastic. Hide

Despite the cottage being in a convenient but quiet location, roomy, warm and met our needs for a group of individuals on an outdoor working holiday. The standards of cleanliness, particularly in the kitchen was poor, not what you would expect for a self-catering cottage. There was evidence of mice under the sink (droppings, chewed packet) and 10s Read moreof flies, likely due to something decaying, not time of year as implied. owner wasnt able to rectify it immediately so we dealt with it ourselves.
