Find panoramic views and a lung-busting climb ascending Mam Tor (11 miles), or climb the highest point in the district, Kinder Scout (15 miles). Visit the Deep Dale Nature Reserve (6.5 miles), or follow the Monsal trail through some of the Peak District's most spectacular limestone dales. Cycle the 13-mile Tissington Trail to Ashbourne, starting at Parsley Hay (11 miles), or visit Derwent Reservoir (15.5 miles) for a woodland walks amongst spectacular scenery. Longshaw Country Park (7 miles) has ancient woods, parkland and heather moorland.
