Sometimes all you need to relax the mind and revive the senses is a holiday with those you love most. Fortunately, this five-person, one-dog property in the coastal haven of Seahouses, Northumberland, offers just the place. Only a ball’s throw from Seahouses’ dog-friendly beaches (just a few hundred yards away) and multiple eateries, you will all be strolling along the sand and munching on fish and chips sooner than you can say “walkies!”.

Tastefully decorated in soothing, neutral tones splashed with playful nautical touches, this three-bedroom home-from-home is perfect for families looking for a good old fashioned holiday by the sea. Entering the property from the driveway, the ground floor of the cottage is home to a kitchen/diner, complete with ample facilities for meals at home and dining table and chairs. Tuck into hearty meals in the evening and once a certain four-legged friend has helped out with the leftovers, head into the lounge for an indulgent and cosy night in-front of the log burner.

Roused from the snuggly embrace of one of the first-floor bedrooms, head out with the dog for a walk along the front to the harbour (0.5 miles), ready to watch the fishermen return with their haul. Should some of your party wish to head out onto the big blue themselves, local operators offer boat trips to the Farne Islands, where you can see doe-eyed grey seals and magical puffins. Make time for a meal in one of the town’s dog-friendly pubs before returning to see out the day in the cottage’s private courtyard with seating, where you can sit back and unwind.

Loved staying in Seahouses for the Christmas week and Bakers Cuddy was a lovely property to spend quality family time together for 5 adults. Comfortable, warm and cosy, the house had everything we needed for our stay. Just a few minutes walk to either the village centre for the shops, the harbour, seafront and local pubs. Wont hesitate to stay hereRead more again. Hide

Lovely cottage in a great location for the harbour and coastal walks. The prosecco and biscuits were very welcome and enjoyed! The garden does need some TLC to make it nice to sit outside, but overall we were happy with our accommodation. Thank you for having us!

This cottage is homely and has everything you could need. Biscuits and Prosecco were a lovely welcome. Parking is quite tight but we managed without any problems ( we were in a Volvo V40). There is a small but secure garden. The location of the cottage is perfect. It is within walking distance of all the amenities including several pub/ restaurantsRead more, Lewiss Fish and Chip shop/restaurant ( a must), Coxons Ice cream , Co op, Butchers and bakery to name but a few. A charming little cottage. Hide

Excellent property , great quiet location . Managed to park a Renault Arkana in the parking space with just a foot sticking out but the road at the back is wide enough for vehicles to pass without getting near to car.
