Dine in the sunny kitchen/diner or al fresco on the private enclosed terrace; although if, after a busy day of exploration, you desire a night off cooking, you’ll be delighted to find a pub within 150 metres of the apartment. Explore the wild moors, rugged cliffs and sandy beaches of The Gower. Rhossili Bay (13.5 miles) is one of Britain’s best-loved beaches, while Llangennith (12 miles) is a surfers’ haven. Closer to home, splash in the water at Oxwich Bay (7.5 miles) and Three Cliffs Bay (4.5 miles). Head inland for some of Wales’ finest attractions, from the National Botanic Gardens (24.5 miles, look out for their dedicated ‘doggy days’) to Weobley and Oxwich castles (11 and 8 miles respectively). And don’t forget to venture the undisturbed bridleways surrounding Welshmoor Common (10 miles), where you’ll find plenty of opportunity for a game of fetch.
