Encompassed by 3 acres of gardens, this picture-postcard, hand-crafted shepherd’s hut near Bicester makes for the most idyllic solo break or romantic escape. And, as no holiday would be complete without the whole pack, your two loyal canine pals are invited to lap up the luxury too. From halcyon mornings lazing beneath the willow tree to afternoons exploring the surrounds to evenings spent in the hot tub as your pups play on the grass, nothing could get dreamier than a well-deserved sojourn here.
Stepping up into this beautiful retreat, you will immediately lose yourself to your own private world. Spacious enough to house everything you could need yet oh-so cosy, every detail has been carefully thought-out (including a lovely welcome pack). Treat yourself to drawn-out mornings and early evenings in the private sleeping area, complete with double bed. At the other end, tuck into meals in the warmth of the wood burner and enjoy the convenience of your own indoor bathroom with shower and WC. In the summer, you and your dogs will love opening up the doors to let the outside in. Soak up the sunshine on the deck with BBQ, play games of fetch on the grass and settle down with a drink to watch the sunshine bounce off the quaint pond.
With incredible views and even a resident alpaca to keep you company in the adjoining field, leaving your little haven will be hard. That said, there is plenty to see and do nearby. Take your dogs for country walks and immerse yourselves in the beauty of the Cotswolds. For cultured canines, the dog-friendly Waddesdon Manor and grounds of Blenheim Palace are 8.5 miles and 20.5 miles away respectively. Later, round off your day with a visit to the local dog-friendly pub, less than 0.5 miles away.
