The idyllic rural retreat is full of character, with fabulous period features, antique-style furniture, and breathtaking views from its quaint, original windows. The welcoming lounge, with a beamed ceiling and open fire, is the perfect place to unwind after a long coastal walk with your canine buddy. The property has a refreshing bathroom and a shower room, both on the ground floor. A handy utility room, which doubles up as the pup’s bedroom, completes this level. The three inviting bedrooms – all with spectacular views – are on the first floor. The enclosed, 3-acre garden is a doggy haven, with large lawns and woodlands to explore, as well as a picnic bench for the humans to dine alfresco.
There are some breathtaking walking routes nearby to enjoy with your four-pawed explorer, from rugged, clifftop tracks along the Arran Coastal Way to adrenaline-inducing mountain climbs, such as Goat Fell (2.5 miles), the highest point on the island. The island boasts some incredible, woof-friendly beaches. From the cottage, stroll down to the small, tranquil beach at Sannox Bay, or take a trip to the silver sands of Kildonan Beach (19 miles) or the long, sandy stretch at Brodick Bay (5 miles).
