Stay at this working farm in Ross-shire for a relaxing break in the Scottish Highlands with your beloved pets. This beautiful cottage has room for six humans and two dogs, so is ideal for a family holiday or trip among nature-loving friends. Spend your days spotting bottle-nosed dolphins in the expansive Cromarty Firth, or taking the dogs on long hill walks that'll soon set their tails a'wagging. In the evenings, prepare meals in the huge kitchen then sink into plush sofas with your pets at your feet.
With pleasing natural colours and joyful splashes of colour, the house is furnished and decorated in a tasteful style. Many of the windows offer lovely views over the surrounding countryside. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with its gorgeous polished wooden floor (easy for sweeping up the dog hair), is a perfect space for socialising with your fellow guests. From here, French doors leading out to the garden with seating where you can share a pot of tea on the patio.
The house is in a superb rural location with plenty of walking and cycling trails nearby. Dingwall (4 miles) is a small town with a harbour and park that's worth the trip. The Loch Ness (20 miles) area is a great option for long hill walks – while you might not spot the elusive monster, you may well see red deer, grouse and ptarmigan. If you fancy a day out in the city, head to Inverness (12 miles). Absorb the atmosphere of one its many dog-friendly pubs then have a look round Culloden battlefield (17 miles), where dogs on leads are welcome in the outdoor areas.
