Sitting in a quiet residential setting at the edge of the pretty coastal village of Lamlash on the beautiful island of Arran, this charming holiday cottage puts you and your pack just a short walk from a glorious sandy bay looking out to the magical and historic Holy Isle. Ideal for getting salt and sand in the fur and blowing those cobwebs away.

Set within a large wrap-around enclosed garden and surrounded by majestic scenery, this comfortable, well-equipped cottage accommodates up to six guests and one dog across one level, although it should be noted that three steps lead up to the front door. Inside, light floods through a full-length picture window into the large and welcoming sitting room with feature fireplace, which creates a cosy focal point after an active day discovering this fabulous island. You can also come together in the sunroom dining area, enjoying relaxed meals while looking out to the summit of Holy Isle and the Monamore Hills. From here a French door leads onto the patio, which is the perfect spot for dining alfresco under the setting sun.

Conveniently located on the island's main bus route, staying at this property lets you shift down a gear and leave your car behind as you explore everything on offer. Start your adventure by sniffing around Lamlash, 1 mile north, where you will find shops selling local produce and crafts, and a good choice of restaurants, bistros, pubs and cafes. Head down to the shore, where seals are often seen sunning themselves, and take a ferry across to Holy Isle, perhaps spotting a dolphin or basking shark on the way. Alternatively, head west along The Ross, through Monamore Glen, for spectacular scenery, or get on your bike and follow the off-road cycle trail south, enjoying endless stick-chasing adventures along forest trails.

Lovely property in a great location. Very comfortable, warm and spacious. Great enclosed garden. Everything you need for a family holiday. Comfortable beds, clean and well equipped. Nice welcome box with treats for the dog too. WiFi was a bit slow but this stopped us using phones and tablets and helped us to read, talk, and play games. Would not heRead moresitate to recommend this property and we would certainly book again Hide

This bungalow has a really good location, within walking distance of Lamlash and the beach. It's a peaceful cosy place to stay.

Our dogs managed to escape through gaps in the bottom of the garden hedge. This needs to chicken wire round it to make it pet proof. The owners left a lovely gift box for visitors. This was incredibly kind. Also, their contact at the outset of the holiday and on our return was lovely.

Lovey bungalow in a great central location for visiting Arran. Dogs loved the large enclosed garden. House was comfortable and well equipped. Would stay again.

Lovely place to stay. Warm, comfortable and inviting. Great views of surrounding hills and part of the Holy Isle. Great position for walks, shops and pubs/restaurants. Lovely welcome hamper and host very pleasant and enquired if everything was okay. Will recommend to friends and family.

lovely and comfortable. very well equipped, including an iron and hairdryer. 10min walk to local co-op and less than 5min walk to bus stop. Would def return if coming back to Arran.

Lovely ,clean ,tidy cottage with a great garden for Rosa our Irish setter to play in. The house was very well equipped and warm and tidy.The location was good ,just a short walk to the beach and village of Lamlash .We will return !

Arran is a beautiful island and Lamlash is a great place to stay. The Mulberry was in a quiet location and only a short walk to the town and also beach. The cottage is a home away from home with everything you could need. The views from the dining room are lovely to eat your meals with. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and we enjoyed seeing thRead moree heron in the garden. We would highly recommend it as a place to stay. Hide

Lovely place to stay, perfect for exploring Arran. Short walk into Lamlash, which was a great coastal village with several places to eat, a small Co-op, and everyone so friendly. The bungalow is spacious, well equipped, and the enclosed garden is fine for a dog that won't try crawling under a hedge to escape (our greyhounds were very secure!)
