Poppies is a delightful cottage in a gorgeous location. We had views across the sea to the Kintyre peninsula directly from our lounge and bedroom. The sea shore is just the other side of a small road. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a village store just a mile away for essentials.

Great little cottage for two people and a dog. Fully enclosed private garden was lovely and the cottage is very well equipped, heated and comfortable. The stairs to the bedroom are narrow and the ceilings are low but this was not an issue for us once we adjusted to the environment. The kitchen was perfect and it was great to have a gas cooker. GeneRead morerally it was very quiet and peaceful but as this area of the island has lots of farming there was some early morning noise from quad bike etc. Hide

perfect place to stay. Close to the beach and hiking trails with enough privacy to make it feel remote. The cottage is spacious and would allow 2 people comfortably to stay there.

The cottage is well equipped but petit. Being elderly we found the narrow stairs a challenge and being tall the low ceilings upstairs. There was a fault with the heating and we had to wrap up well indoors to keep warm. We had planned to use the nearby Lighthouse restaurant and were disappointed to discover it closed at the end of September. This meRead moreant that we were at least 15 miles from a place to eat. We also did not enjoy the best weather with a mixture of strong winds, heavy rain & low temps. Hide
