Make the most of the magnificent seclusion at this quintessential Scottish cottage, near Archiestown, in Moray and watch tails wag with excitement at the opportunity for fresh air and long walks. Two delighted dogs are very welcome to join up to five guests at the property, which enjoys panoramic views out across the Spey Valley from its outstanding hilltop position. Take Fido and Fred out to explore the 200 acres of the cottage’s own grounds or plan exciting trips out, including to the Cairngorms National Park, which begins about 12 miles from this stone-built hideaway.

Open the door of this inviting property and let the pups pad inside. Watch them explore the drawing room, while you stoke up the wood burner and perhaps settle down for a while to watch a little TV. When everyone starts to think about dinner, make your way into the bright, farmhouse-style kitchen/diner. Feed your furry friends then whip up something tasty for the rest of your party and call everyone to the table. Find a useful utility room at this level too, where you can towel down your damp dogs after long, wet walks. A shower room and single bedroom are also on the ground floor. Climb the stairs to find the family bathroom, plus a double bedroom and a twin. Sit out in the sunshine and fresh air and watch your happy hounds frolic on the grass. Light the BBQ on warm evenings and dine out here as you absorb the undulating vistas.

Stroll 1 mile to the picturesque village of Archiestown, with your cheerful chums by your side, to go shopping or to dine out. Follow the circular, 5-mile Cairn Cattoch Walk through the leafy forest from Archiestown. Take a walk of approximately 5 miles along beside the River Spey to Aberlour.

We stayed here for the Scottish Orienteering Festival. The location was good for the races and the terrain in Culbin, Darnaway, Lossie and Roseisle forests was excellent for racing. We enjoyed the cottage's seclusion and views.

We enjoyed our stay very much. In the middle of fields, forrests, cattle and sheep - what a contrast in comparison to the big city where we live. The views are fantastic and the feeling of having breakfast unser the sun, nearly in the sky was just lovely.

Lovely well equipped, comfortable, character cottage in an idyllic location up a track strewn with orchids and wildflowers, perfect place to unwind but also very well situated to explore a really beautiful area little known apart from distilleries. Virtually the only sound was birds, a few crickets late in the evening and the cows in the adjacent fRead moreield happily cudding. I could look at the view across to Ben Rinnes forever.. Brilliant place to stay with dogs. Hide

Another amazing stay at Lynes Cottage! We couldnt ask for a better location for exploring the surrounding area and for some much needed down time and just simply enjoying the views and the peace and quiet. Tracey ensured the house was welcoming and immaculate when we arrived and checked in on us when we had a storm. We will be back for our 4th visiRead moret as soon as we can. Hide

Great cottage for those who want solitude. The view is fabulous and the facilities are absolutely adequate. Plus the surrounding area offers easy access to fantastic walks (i.e. Ben Rinnes) and distillery visits. I would travel here again at any time.
