This beautiful, classic property was once a farm cottage and retains its traditional Highland character. With a gorgeous, secluded setting on the shores of Loch Duich and cosy country interiors, it is very much suited to walkers, group of friends and their four-legged hill-loving companions looking to explore the incredible landscapes of Wester Ross and even the Isle of Skye.

The property has a beautiful traditional stone facade, and the rooms inside are in-keeping with this period character, mixed with modern conveniences. The heart of the home is the light and airy living space, with an open fire for extra cosiness as the nights draw in. The kitchen is a well-equipped, bright room, ideal for rustling up team suppers and titbits for Fido, before enjoying them in the sweet dining room overlooking the garden. The bedrooms, one on the ground level and two upstairs, are calming twin rooms. And, the best bit, outside is your dog's dream — a wild private garden, and a rough path down to the loch.

The location of this old farm building gives you prime access to the rugged shores of Loch Duich and the Highlands beyond. From the grounds of the Druidaig Estate, you can set off on some amazing walks with your pet. The hill lochs around the estate can be fished free of charge, and there's even stalking and shooting available. Across the loch, spy the stunning Eilean Donan Castle, or head to the Five Sisters of Kintail (10.5 miles) for a challenging hike over this monumental ridge.

Lovely location. The cottage suited our needs and good parking, it was cosy with good heating and plenty hot water. The lighting and some of the furniture could do with an update but doesn't affect the overall good points of the cottage. We enjoyed our stay.

First stay at Druidaig Cottage. We wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful and the cottage certainly provided that. Some of the furniture and fittings could do with replacing as they are old and not very comfortable but this did not detract from our holiday. The area is beautiful and the setting of the cottage is perfect. We visited Plockton and saw thRead moree Jacobite steam train at Glenfinnan but also enjoyed local walks and watching the wildlife - badgers, otters and Pine Marten at the house or nearby. Hide

The cottage is in a great location, very peaceful with lovely scenery. Whilst we had everything we needed, the cottage could definitely do with a freshen up, especially the carpets. Also to note, no broadband or WiFi in the house but our mobile network connection was good. The drive along the road by the Loch is beautiful.

Spacious cottage in good location. Responsive owner (the kettle wasn't working when we arrived and this was resolved quickly). Well cleaned ahead of our arrival. Decent heating and plenty of hot water. However the whole cottage is very tired and could do with updating ahead of the new season, particulalry the sitting room and bedrooms.
