This is an amazing place. We couldnt get enough of the view, no matter which window! Having sheep and deer on your doorstep everyday was brilliant and the children loved it. The kitchen is well kitted out. Theres enough fuel for the fire every day, though the house was so warm, we didnt always need it. The water temp, pressure & quality was the besRead moret! The cottage was lovely and clean, the fire place was amazing to have at night when it was chilly. The sheep and deer we saw were an added bonus. The views were beautiful. It would be nice if there was a shower but for a short stay the baths were fine. We loved our stay and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. Remote and a bit of a drive to get to. However, if peace and quiet is what you're after, enveloped in the Scottish hills, surrounded by deer and sheep outside your doorstep, then this is the place. Other houses not too far away so not totally alone. Clean, very comfortable, fully equipped, one of the nicest cottages we've ever stayed in. 10/10 coziness 10/10 equipment 10/10 location if you have a car The lady owning the cottage was very forthcoming and even did things that wasn't necessary like putting out a grill, table and chairs while our group was out hiking. Highly recommended for first time visitors of the highlands.

We loved our stay in Culrain cottage!! The location is absolutely stunning. We did have some difficulties finding it though. The Navi soon gave up, the description in our booking details was quite accurate - if we would have approached from the opposite direction. We could not stop admiring the sheep, the stags and the burn right in front of our doRead moreor. The cottage is very cosy, we lit the fire place every night to warm it up. Absolutely stunning location in winter and reindeer at times Litrally outside your window is magical. Nice homely feel, WiFi is perfectly fine. Only slight niggle was theyre all single beds (can kinda see in pictures just wasn't 100% sure at booking) and lower beds are uncomfortable. My wife (55) and me (51) think this cottage is a real find; the setting is beautiful - river, hills, wild deer. The cottage bedrooms are well sized and all en suites are plenty roomy. The real fire in the lounge is great! The whole cottage is immaculately cleaned as is the linen, and throughout it smelled clean and fresh. Excellent base for seeing Read morethe sights - CairnGorm, LochNess, Cawdor and Nairn. The property itself though is nicely tucked away from civilisation. Hide

Amazing place ,on a clear night it's perfect for star gazing, walks along the river, hiking, massive ground for your dog to run around. Only slight err I can think of is if they had shower mixer system instead of having to run full baths every time. Its personal preference obviously and not a Biggie. This place 100% rivals Switzerland in terms of sceneRead morery, picturesque location etc and worth its value. Would definitely visit again Hide
