Celebrate in style in this imposing nine-bedroom Victorian lodge looking out over beautiful Loch Rannoch, where tails will wag at the 21,000 acres of estate grounds. The pretty village of Kinloch Rannoch (3 miles) is within easy reach for gentle strolls through its picture-postcard setting and a wee dram at one of the dog-friendly inns. Follow the Clan Trail through the village or ramble around the banks of the loch, stopping for a picnic and a paddle at the sandy beach on the north shore.

Combining soft neutral decor with traditional details and antique furniture, you will be barking with joy at your elegant retreat. There’s plenty of space in the well-equipped kitchen to prepare meals for the whole of your party to share around the elegant dining room table that seats up to 18 guests. After supper, you can get competitive in the games room or head through to the lounge to curl up in one of the stylish seats and catch up on family news. There are two wonderful open fires in this room for your hound to stretch out in front of. When it’s time for bed, you have nine sumptuous bedrooms to drift off in, eight king-size and one double, all enjoying en-suite facilities. Your outside space is as superb as inside, with extensive gardens, a croquet lawn and a large patio for al fresco dining.

With miles of walks straight from the front door, through lush fields and across rolling hills, you will have a happy hound when you stay at this property. If you can tear yourself away from the house, climb the hillside of Craig Varr for impressive views from the summit. Take the lead and bag yourself a Munro with both Schiehallion (8 miles) and Carn Mairg (23.5 miles) within easy reach.

Lovely lodge in lovely setting. The bedrooms were all good quality. A comfortable lounge and dining area fitted the 15 people in our party easily. Incredible views over the loch and hills to the south from the house and garden. A 'games' room was a bonus - table tennis table and TV. The house had a homely feel about it, with quite a lot of games, bRead moreooks, leaflets etc. We liked it but some people might not with what could be seen as 'clutter' and care needed with not losing your own items! A group of 16 friends enjoyed a fabulous week at Criaganour Lodge. The weather was perfect and virtually no midges! A great location for hillwalking, cycling and watersports. The house is well equipped and very comfortable.
