A very comfortable and cosy cottage which was warm and well equipped. The location was quiet and traffic free. Enough space for two cars on the driveway so parking was easy. The enclosed garden was ideal for our Labrador.

We liked the central location. Unfortunately the weather was really bad for the week but we used our stay to revisit Lymington, Lyndhurst, Christchurch and garden centre, plus Portsmouth and Southampton outlet centres. Cottage was clean and had good amenities apart from comments above

Very disappointing! The ad for this property is misleading! It is not in Lyndhurst, Its in Ashurst, which is 3miles away from Lyndhurst! not onthe outskirts as described. The garden is not secure for dogs. One of the most important criteria when we searched for a holiday home! Hottest week of the summer but the cottage was lovely and cool. 150 yards to the right a very nice pub which provided good value for money food, 150 yards to the left you are in the forest which had plenty of places to explore with the dog.

Nice place, great for a base to stay in New Forest. Not great for tall people as slanted ceilings in bedrooms and low doorways. Host was very helpful with directions as slightly tricky to find. But needs to drop pin on Google Maps as this would be easier! Kitchen has all you need, lounge was comfortable. Firm beds and very soft pillows.
