A lovely stay in a unique holiday house. We thoroughly enjoyed everything! The grounds and gardens were very well tended. A lot of hard work has gone into caring for the place. The lake area and summer house were an added bonus. Local pubs were very friendly. (The staircase up to the bedroom is very steep as described on the website. We knew about Read morethis and it is not a criticism- it added to the charm of the place.) Hide

This is a lovely place to stay for a couple. Be prepared for steep stairs and a very low entry door - but as a place to chill and tour the surrounding beautiful countryside - the chapel and the free access to the lovely estate are hard to beat.

This was our second visit to Cheyney Chapel, and for us it ticks all the boxes, setting, nearby facilities, geographical location, comfort, decor. Visitors need to be aware that there are three floors, lower ground kitchen, stairs to living room, and then very steep stair to bedroom and bathroom. All the accommodation is well appointed and there isRead more two outside private, sheltered seating areas. The nearby Hop Pocket is a bonus for food shopping and there are two pubs within walking distance. Hide
