This superb property, situated in a small hamlet within the North York Moors, is the perfect little bolthole for a romantic getaway – with the dogs in tow, of course! Sleeping you both in a beautiful wrought iron double bed, this little holiday home is an opportunity to relax and unwind. Whether your idea of taking time out is spending long mornings in bed or going for walkies around the stunning countryside, you can have it all here. The 3.5-mile Farndale Daffodil Walk starts just 25 metres from your front door and features charming valley views alongside the daffodils between mid-March and April.

The cottage, which is surrounded by gorgeous rolling hills, makes the most of the open-plan space. High ceilings and large windows make it bright and airy, while industrial-style touches mixed with more traditional pieces creates a warm and cosy contemporary feel. There’s everything you need in the stylish kitchen to cook up a storm for your beau and eat at the dining table. Spend evenings snuggled up in front of the wood burner with the pups snoozing at your feet or sit out on the patio with a glass of wine while the hounds enjoy exploring the enclosed garden.

The area surrounding the property is a walker’s delight. Try parts of the Cleveland Way National Trail, which starts in Helmsley (12 miles) and follows a horseshoe-shaped line around the moors. Nearby village Hutton-le-Hole (5 miles) boasts gift and sweet shops as well as a pub but also offers picturesque walks such as the 4-mile circular route that takes you through Lastingham. Dogs are welcome at the Helmsley Walled Garden (12.5 miles), where you can take strolls around 5 acres of pretty blooms and even buy plants to take home.

  • SHORT BREAKS - can only commence on a Monday for 4 nights and a Friday for 3 nights

  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £150 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £20. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

This holiday cottage was to a very high standard and the cleanliness was above and beyond we really enjoyed our stay here it had everything you could and would need to enjoy your stay . The views surrounding the whole of the cottage were absolutely stunning. This is a good base to get out and explore the National Park . Will definitely be back agaiRead moren and totally enjoyed our stay here. The staff in the little village store was very helpful and very friendly and carried some lovely food items . Hide

The cottage is in a small hamlet on the North Yorkshire moors and has its own garden with beautiful views. It's lovely inside with a very comfortable bed and well-equipped kitchen. The only drawback is sleeping in the same room as the boiler and the freezer, both of which produce quite a lot of noise, on and off.

The old Tin School House provides a wonderful experience. Inside, the property is so well appointed with quality comfort and equipment throughout. Very clean and didnt want for anything. Welcome pack and toiletries were of the highest quality. The enclosed garden is lovely and the views simply magnificent. Surrounding countryside outstanding.
